I've circled in
GREEN the options that will be used
in this lesson. When you
click on yours a black checkmark will appear such as the one
next to Standard on my menu.
I've circled in
Green some of the many added
buttons that become visible after
you've selected the options that I've suggested. You may have
the horizontal bars
at the top of the work area or at the bottom (scroll down to see
some at the bottom)...
Just click and drag the button bars to move them where you
find it best!

Note:
For those who want to know more about how I gathered the pictures of
the
examples, here is what I did. I took Screen Shots... On a Macintosh,
hold down the following keys: Command+Shift+4 This will provide a "crosshair"
looks like this... + you place this crosshair at the top corner of what you want to
take a picture of, as you drag it you'll notice a box... as soon as you let go of the mouse button the
computer takes a "Screen Shot" and stores it on the Hard Drive for you to open later
when you double click on it! I used this method to collect all of my examples! File
Format Woes! Yup, I had to think a bit when it came to opening up
the image file
format since it is saved in .pct format. First, I emailed the
images to myself from my PowerBook,
then, I opened them up on my DELL desktop. The images were all in
.pct format and my
favorite editing program couldn't open up that format, so... I first
opened them up in
Adobe PhotoShop, saved them as .tif files then opened them up in my old
Image Composer
program and re-saved them as .gif. I know, a silly way to do it,
but I really love Microsoft's
old Image Composer... I can use it without thinking and just enjoy the
process of being
artistic. ' just because it isn't the newest and most powerful
doesn't mean that you can't
still enjoy using it! [TOP] Go
