Hi,
Once I was a public school art
teacher. When I left teaching art to
pursue a career in computers I decided to leave
something behind for all of my students to
remember me by... this is what this children's
art web site is all about!
I am an artist, and a
teacher...who
happens to love using the computer!

I have been teaching art for many years...
even when I was a child I used to give drawing
lessons for my classmates during indoor recess
at school! After I graduated from
college with a degree in Fine Art (emphasis on
drawing and painting) I began a career in
Education. I thoroughly enjoyed the
years I spent teaching art in the
Massachusetts Public School System, grades
K-5.
A
while back I completed working on my graduate
degree and have been awarded a Master of
Education Degree with an emphasis in Computer
Technology.... I
now have a wonderfully challenging position as a
Desktop Systems Specialist at the Office for
Information Technology at Williams
College. This position offers me the
opportunity to work with many interesting and
unique individuals, both faculty and staff.
Once an artist, always an artist, and being a
teacher resides in the inner soul... that is why
I initially had the mrssinger.com domain name
and web site. This site
was my hobby... my way of maintaining my sense
of identity and of pushing myself to continue
with my drawing.
I maintained this site for over 4 years. I received email everyday from
around the globe. People asked questions on
every art topic imaginable. Sometimes I even
know the answer! :)
I
have copied the original mrssinger.com web site
to my Williams site knowing that there are many
children out there who would be disappointed if
they couldn't find it any longer. My name,
'Singer', though, has changed to 'Melchiori'.
I did purchase another domain name:
www.MelchioriTechnologies.com
I
have a successful computer repair/database
development business to help keep me busy! Art
and computers are very similar...
With both, you need to be able to think
creatively; trouble-shoot constantly; and to
never give up, because the answer to any
problem is right there... you just have to
practice, and practice and practice in order
to know where to find it!
